Meet the Team

David Owen-Bard

Founder & CEO, Echoes & Ember Studios

David Owen-Bard is a U.S. military veteran, filmmaker, author, global educator, and former dot-com era technology entrepreneur. He served as a Navy Hospital Corpsman (“green-side” medic) attached to  U.S. Marine Corps infantry and reconnaissance units, where he was responsible for the trauma care,  medical readiness, and survival of more than 100 Marines in life-and-death environments. This  experience forged a deep foundation of leadership, crisis decision-making, field logistics, and mission driven discipline.

In the early interactive media era, David developed one of the first touch-video point-of-sale  entertainment systems – the “see-it, click-it, buy-it” interface – technology that remains in commercial  use today. His background spans two decades of producing educational and cultural content across the  world, leading projects in remote environments, collaborating with Indigenous communities, and  navigating complex on-location challenges.

Morgan Bard

Co-Founder & Transmedia Producer, Echoes & Ember Studios

Transmedia producer, herbalist, and visual storyteller who co-hosts Ancient Traditions and helps  architect E&E’s cross-platform ecosystem. Recognized as a “30-under-30” entrepreneur, Morgan has  founded and operated multiple brick-and-mortar and click-and-mortar businesses, bringing hands-on  operational rigor to creative launches and community growth. She leads field research and cultural  liaison work, coordinates ethical access and FPIC practices, and designs audience extensions – from  short-form series and podcasts to retreats, curricula, and museum/education tie-ins. As a practicing  herbalist, she brings a grounded, science-curious lens to plant medicine, ritual, and land-based healing,  balancing the series’ veteran-recovery arc with an inquisitive, contemporary point of view. Across the  slate (including Hearth Circle, Warrior Traditions, and RenFests!), she oversees social and community  strategy, companion content, and brand/partner integrations in wellness, outdoor, and cultural sectors.  Morgan is trained in trauma-aware interviewing and contributes to on-set wellness protocols in  collaboration with clinical advisors.

At Echoes & Ember, Chaim oversees company systems, deal  flow and partner relations, and cross-platform rollouts (film/series, podcast, live programs, and  branded/educational extensions). A business development expert, he aligns creative, ops, and sales to  accelerate slate traction and global partnerships.

His remit  includes trauma-adjacent best practices, sleep/nutrition strategies for travel, stress-load management,  and partnership development with veteran and health organizations.
